Evidence layer for stock-linked token research

See what a token represents.

EquiTrace maps what a stock-linked token claims to represent to its contract, its market data, and the evidence behind it. What can't be verified is marked, not hidden.

Example input:

Contract, market and reference-price data come from named public sources, and every value shows its source and timestamp. Research tool only. Not investment advice.

The report

One page. Every claim linked to its evidence.

Sample layout with placeholder values. A real report shows live data, each value with its source and timestamp.

Read-only report · Example Token (EXM)Generated: YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM UTC

1 · Token identity

Chain: Selected chain · Address: 0x… · Contract source: Not verified · Proxy: Not detected

2 · Reference mapping

ClaimedExample Company · EXMPL · stated by project page (third party) · conversion ratio not provided

3 · Market snapshot

  • Token priceUnavailable
  • 24h volumePartial
  • Liquidity proxyStale
  • Reference priceFresh

4 · Token / reference comparison

Not calculated

The conversion ratio is missing, so EquiTrace does not show a price deviation. A misleading percentage is worse than no number.

5 · Investigation signals

  • Needs review

Owner or admin privileges remain active.

  • Observed

Contract source is unverified on the explorer.

  • Not verified

The reference asset is a project claim with no independent source.

Market and chain data can change. Read-only share link available on every report.

Method

Four kinds of information. Never blended.

On-chain

What the contract shows

Chain, address, decimals, deployment, source verification, proxy status, admin controls and holder concentration.

Claim

What the project claims

The reference asset, ticker and conversion ratio a project or issuer states, with a link to where it says so.

Market

What market data shows

Price, 24-hour volume, a liquidity proxy and trade count from a named provider, each with a timestamp.

Unknown

What we can't verify

Missing, stale or conflicting data is labeled as such. Gaps are shown. They are never filled in.

How it works

From address to evidence in six steps.

  1. 01

    Search

Enter a token address, or a symbol or reference ticker when the mapping is unambiguous.

  2. 02

    Resolve

EquiTrace resolves the token and shows the reference asset it is proposed to represent.

  3. 03

    Label the mapping

The mapping is marked Verified, Claimed or Unknown, based on the evidence available.

  4. 04

    Load public data

Contract, market and reference-price data are pulled from named public sources.

  5. 05

    Calculate where valid

Activity, liquidity, concentration, freshness and price deviation, only when the inputs make them meaningful.

  6. 06

    Read, cite, share

A readable report with evidence links, timestamps, limitations and a read-only share link.

Labels

Status you can read without color.

Every label pairs a text name with a distinct shape, so meaning never depends on a shade.

Reference mapping

  • VerifiedConfirmed by a reliable source we cite.
  • ClaimedStated by a project or issuer. Not confirmed.
  • UnknownNo mapping evidence was found.

Data freshness

  • FreshWithin the configured freshness window.
  • StaleExists, but older than the window.
  • PartialSome required fields are missing.
  • UnavailableNo usable value was retrieved.

Signals

Signals, not a score.

No single unexplained rating. Each signal is a transparent rule with its evidence attached. They are prompts to investigate, not proof of fraud, backing, solvency or legal status.

Reference and identity

  • Reference asset verified, claimed, or unknown
  • Symbol is ambiguous or reused across assets
  • Conversion ratio is missing or inconsistent
  • Project and contract metadata disagree

Contract and control

  • Contract source verified or unverified
  • Proxy or upgradeable implementation detected
  • Minting, pausing, blacklist or transfer controls detected
  • Holder concentration above the selected threshold

Market

  • Liquidity is low or unavailable
  • Volume is low, stale, or concentrated in a short period
  • Token price diverges from the comparable reference price
  • Trading hours do not line up with the reference market

Principles

An information layer. Nothing else.

EquiTrace is not

A broker. An exchange. A custodian. An issuer. A trading bot.

So it never asks for

A wallet connection. A private key. A trade. A personal recommendation.

It will not call a token backed, safe, compliant or equivalent to a share unless that exact claim is independently verified and cited.

Built for

People who need the evidence first.

Crypto users

Researching a stock-linked token before discussing or trading it elsewhere.

Moderators

Checking the claims people make about a token in their community.

Researchers

Comparing token activity with a reference company or equity symbol.

Builders

Who need a clean, evidence-linked market and contract snapshot.
